You don’t have to hold everything alone anymore.
Relational, somatic, and trauma-informed counselling for adults, youth, and couples in Kelowna and across BC.
I’m Perienne Paulson,
A Registered Clinical Counsellor in Kelowna.
I help people move through trauma, anxiety, burnout, and life transitions with compassion and evidence-based care. My work is relational and nervous-system-focused; so you can feel safe, understood, and supported as you heal at your own pace.
Areas of Focus.
-
When your inner world feels unsettled, therapy can help you slow down and reconnect to yourself. Together, we’ll explore anxiety, panic, low mood, burnout, self-worth, perfectionism, and the patterns that keep you in survival mode — with compassion and curiosity rather than judgment.
-
Trauma can leave the body and mind feeling stuck in protection mode. Through somatic and relational work, we gently support the nervous system’s capacity to feel safe again. I work with trauma related to childhood experiences, PTSD, loss, sexual trauma, and complex grief — helping you move toward healing at a pace that feels right for you.
-
Our earliest relationships shape how we connect and communicate in adulthood. I help individuals and couples understand patterns of conflict, disconnection, or emotional shutdown, and begin to rebuild safety, intimacy, and trust. This includes couples counselling, attachment healing, and support through separation or family-of-origin wounds.
-
Change often brings both possibility and uncertainty. Whether you’re feeling stuck, redefining your direction, or adjusting to new roles, we can work together to strengthen your sense of identity and belonging. I also support caregivers, high achievers, and neurodivergent clients navigating burnout, masking fatigue, or self-criticism.
A gentle, grounded approach.
Healing begins with being met where you are.
I believe real change unfolds in the presence of safety, curiosity, and connection — not pressure to be “better.” My approach is trauma-informed, somatic, and relational, supporting both the mind and body in finding a sense of ease again.
You don’t need to arrive polished or have everything figured out. Therapy is a space to pause, make sense of what you’ve been carrying, and begin to feel more grounded within yourself. And if what you’re hoping to work on isn’t listed elsewhere, please reach out — I may have experience in that area, or can connect you with a trusted colleague who does.
